The ASA license is issued by Cape Multisport. The ASA license fee of R 190 is not included in the club fees but can be added to your membership payment. Please ensure that all the information on your ASA profile is updated and correct (https://asa.saclubs.co.za/login). (See How to join)
We organise license pickups at most Sunday club runs as well as before bigger races. You can also contact the club to arrange.
You can buy the running tops and other items from the club. Kit and payment setails can be found on the Club Kit page. Please contact the running captain before you make any payments to check stock, get the correct EFT reference and discuss collection. Payment must be made before collecting.
Collection can be one of the following (please confirm collection when you make payment):
At Sunday Packruns.
At Club events.
At the clubhouse on specifically announced days (often prior to large events).
Collected from the Captain's house.
Any other arraignment based on urgency.
How to Wear Your ASA Number on Race Day
If you are new to this and are not sure where everything goes on race day, here is a quick guide.
Your ASA licence comes in a set of two -one for the front and one for the back of your club top. They must be sewn or pinned on and displayed at all races. Please wear plain black shorts, pants etc with your club shirt/vest.
Many races also issue a race number. This must be pinned to the front of your shirt over your ASA number but please ensure that the WPA , ASA logos and any sponsor logos on your licence are still visible.
If you wear a hydration vest please ensure that your ASA licence on your back is still visable.
To qualify for age group prizes please wear an age tag as shown in the above photos. These are not compulsory,

Hey CMC runners! Our 2025 Training programs has kicked with the Rhodes Half Marathon & 10km Training that started Monday, 10th February – a 12-week build-up leading to the event! The program will continue for future events as well.
What’s New This Year?
We’re mixing things up to include more runners, whether you’re a novice or a seasoned pro. We want to give everyone a stronger build-up to key events like the Cape Town Marathon, Winelands Marathon, Half Marathons, and 10kms.
